Here at Keromina we have commitment to deliver the highest levels of care and support to your service users. Keromina staff are fully trained by our in house training and are available seven days a week and twenty four hours a day/night. Keromina staff are experienced in both general and mental health care.
All our registered nurses comply with NMC guidelines and adhere to local and company policies
General Nursing
Keromina staff are experienced in caring for service users with physical illnesses and palliative care, specialising in end of life care. Keromina staff display a high level of empathy and compassion and all work to a high standard of care. All Keromina staff have received training within general nursing requirements including End of Life care, catheter care, Enteral peg feeding, dysphagia, oral hygiene and much more. Keromina staff will support your service users to promote independence with all their activities of daily living. Keromina staff promote person centred care for the individual, providing them with choice and control in their lives, illness and treatments while offering support and reassurance for the future.
Early Onset Dementia
Keromina staff are experienced in caring for service users with early onset dementia. Early onset Dementia can arise from early adult years to 65 years, some service users with Dementia will display lots of different and unusual behaviours to express their unmet needs and emotions. Keromina staff are trained in Dementia Care and are able to recognise key indicators of unmet needs whilst still promoting service user independence, preserving dignity and respect, offering therapeutic activities to support and stimulate the service users needs.
Here at Keromina we pride ourselves on being able to provide experienced Health Care Assistants and Registered Mental Health Nurses to support the daily living of service users with early onset Dementia and to assist with supporting family members.
Advanced Dementia
Keromina staff are all trained to be able to support service users with advanced dementia with all their activities of daily living whilst promoting person centred care, independence and supporting service users to fulfil their potential. Keromina staff will support your service users to live well with their dementia, providing specialist care as the dementia progresses towards end of life care. Keromina staff are compassionate, committed and caring.
They understand the need to support service users with dementia to have choice and to maintain the wellbeing providing person centred care at all times. Keromina Staff are fully trained in Dysphagia and will support service users with modified diets as required.
Keromina staff are familiar with documentation used in residential care settings to support service user diet/fluid intake, oral care, ABC charts, accident/incident forms.
Acquired Brain Injury
Keromina Staff are trained in nursing acquired brain injury service users, dealing with challenging behaviours that may arise along with offering therapeutic activities to assist with daily living and socialisation. Our experience Health Care assistants at Keromina, will assist service users with personal hygiene needs, nutritional intake, enteral feeding and oral care, whilst supporting independence and high quality person centred care.
Enduring Mental Health
Keromina staff are all trained in line with the Recovery Nursing Model in Mental Health, and are able to support service users with aspects of Mental Health to assist them with all their daily activities of living whilst promoting rehabilitation as far as possible for the individual. Keromina staff will promote independence, person centred care and autonomy. All our Health Care assistants and Nurses have experience in dealing with challenging behaviours that may arise along with offering therapeutic activities to assist with daily living and socialisation. Keromina aim to provide a service that works with people that is welcoming, accessible, responsive and safe, which promotes choice in a person centred manner as much as possible.
Dementia with challenging behaviour
Keromina staff are fully trained to support service users with the behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) and recognise that this is often a symptom of unmet needs. They have received P.I (Physical Intervention with De-escalation) training which is renewed annually, to comply with current legislations. Keromina staff are able to de-escalate anxious, hostile or challenging behaviours. Similarly, to those with advanced Dementia, Keromina staff will provide the enhanced care required for your service users wellbeing holistically, offering person centred support with all their activities of daily living whilst maintaining a calm and reassuring air.
